Pho and Thai lunch combos at Cilantro Woburn

I've blogged about the Vietnamese pho at  Cilantro in Woburn before but today my workers and I ordered off the lunch menu.  For under $10.00 bucks, one can get a chicken broth soup, a choice of an appetizer (fried spring rolls or crab rangoon) and an entree of curry or stir fry.  Protein options include tofu, pork, chicken, or beef. You can even get seafood for a dollar more.

I went with the pork red curry with spring rolls. The veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection. I hate it when its wilted and overcooked. The flavor of the red curry was tasty.  On the other hand, the spring rolls were a bit bland, luckily the sauce added a sweet coating to it.

My friend Amber ordered the yellow chicken curry. She said it was good. It bothered me that the crab rangoon touched the sauce but she didn't mind at all. I loved the way the zucchini was sliced. The two different curries featured different veggies. The red had eggplant and bamboo whereas the yellow had onions and pineapple.

The guys stuck with their "go to" pho dish of beef or chicken pho, Not sure if the soup bowl was large but it looked like it was lacking rice noodles. It's definitely a great place to grab a quick cheap lunch and get your Southeast Asian fix.
