Senmonorom special spicy soft shell crab

So here's a restaurant that we've been to a bunch of times and I've blogged about it on more than one occasion but this post will be short and sweet.

TRY the SPICY SOFT SHELL CRAB! It's out of this world! Of course you have to like fried things, and "kroeung" spices but it's definitely a different dish to try in Lowell and not your usual fried calamari that every other Cambodian restaurant in Lowell offer.

My friend BG and his wife who frequents the restaurant actually told us about it. As a matter of fact, when we ate the dish, it was actually their SECOND time eating it that week alone!

The dish has plenty of soft shell crab pieces, onions, jalapenos, Khmer paste mixture made from tumeric, garlic, lemon grass and keffir leaves.  I think I tasted "marais prov" (Thai Holy Basil not to be confused with regular Thai Basil)

Fried deliciousness! $17.95
Anyhow, they also make good noodle soups and other Cambodian specialties.  When we went on a Saturday morning, it was PACKED and there were no tables open.  There was even a band there practicing.

The wonton soup is pretty good.
