Atlantic Beach Club:Chris & Kelly's Newport Wedding

This post is long overdue but better late than nevaahh!

Kelly and Chris's Newport July wedding has got
to be on the top 3 weddings that I've attended.

The food was great and the view was amazing! The guests were all so friendly as if I've known them my whole life.

The beautiful ceremony took place at St. Mary's Church in Bristol, Rhode Island.  We found parking just in time before the bridal party debarked the trolley before heading into the church.  Kelly looked absolutely stunning and the waterworks went off when I saw her mother walking her down the aisle. The short ceremony was sweet and the priest was humorous.

I was able to sneak a couple pictures of the beautiful bridal party with their champagne flutes boarding the trolley.
The Mo and I also asked someone to take a picture of us on the steps of the church.

Once the ceremony was over, we headed to the Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown, RI (although its often associated with Newport)

I loved the idea that the couple took most of their formal pictures before the wedding.  This allowed them to socialize with the guests during cocktail hour and relax a bit after their ceremony.  I was so excited for the oysters on the half shell.  Oysters have been an ongoing theme for this wedding. Chris actually proposed to Kelly with a ring on an oyster shell.  Her bridesmaids served up freshly shucked oysters at their engagement party so it made total sense that the couple had oysters at their beachfront cocktail reception.

The other stationary and passed hors d'oeurves were delicious.

Everyone was enjoying themselves and the nice ocean breeze by the beach.

The newlyweds snuck off with the photography for some sunset shots on the beach.. and like a creep, I followed them.

Dinner and dancing was in the ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Atlantic beach club.  We made our way up there and passed by beach themed wedding details that made me really excited.

One my favorite details was the "Message in a bottle" .  Instead of doing a standard guestbook for guests to write their blessings for the newlyweds, the guests chose a year or a few different years to write a note to the Future Kelly in Chris in 1 year, 5 years, etc.  I thought that was such a great idea!

The bridal party entrance was fun and exciting! Each pair came out to a different dance/act/performance.  They kept getting better and better!

And the couple's first dance! So sweet!

Dinner was delicious! I had the filet mignon.  I thought it was a nice touch that the servers came by to ask how we liked it cooked.  Of course, I got medium.

My fun table decided it would be a great idea to take shots.  Then the party officially started and everyone tore up the dance floor! I think my favorite part was Kelly's special request to play "I want it that way"by Backstreet boys.

No wedding is complete with wedding cake and decadent desserts!

We had so much fun! Thank you for allowing the Mo and I to celebrate in your wedding festivities!

oh by the way, we LOVED our thank you wedding postcard. :)
